Anthony counsels local individuals, families, and closely held businesses in real estate and business transactions, entity formation, estate planning, business succession planning, and gun trusts. Anthony is closely connected to the region’s agricultural sector and helps clients solve a broad range of challenges. Anthony directs clients through matters including the purchase and sale of businesses, drafting and negotiating leases, 1031 exchanges, and challenges regarding partnerships.
Anthony focused his skills to be tied to the agriculture community based on his family’s longstanding farming tradition in the Merced area. Anthony is exceptionally suited to handle the issues of family farms and businesses based on his close connection to the ag industry and his degree in business administration. Anthony’s unique areas of practice include firearms planning. He prepares gun trusts for the use, possession, and transfer of firearms, and advises and protects clients regarding the complex state and federal regulations around guns.
Mr. De Jager received his undergraduate degree in business from Azusa Pacific University. He obtained his law degree from San Joaquin College of Law, with distinction for academic excellence in corporations. He and his wife, Jen, raise their three children in Merced where they enjoy evenings together at the dinner table.
